I have been sampling some pretty amazing products lately since I subscribed to BirchBox. I’m a big fan of the small samples to get started since I would not want a full sized product if I didn’t love it. This is a great way to get on trend samples that are a delight to open and experiment with. So, let’s get started reviewing these outstanding products and others I’ve found along the way!
I love this fizzy probiotic infused mask. I have to say I’m into masks as a way to relax. I will be posting many masks in the future because they are an experience and force you to take a moment whether it be 10 minutes or 30 to let it set and dry cleaning out your pores. Well, that equals a little me time, now doesn’t it? Here is another mask I tried which was an herbal home remedy, so simple yet soothing.
You’ll be amazed that I am posting about all this beauty stuff when I am actually not a beauty person at all. I can count how many professional manicures and pedicures I’ve had in my day and for each category, it’s on one hand. I have had zero tanning booth experiences. Needless to say, I am on the hunt for what works now that I am aging and want to feel good about what I put on my body. So, this journey will be fun and a huge learning experience for me!
Here it is, my all time FAVORITE of the entire list! Coola Mineral Sunscreen feels amazing going on your skin. It looks a bit like concealer but feels like minerals blending into your skin. It is not oily and once on, it feels soft. I love it so.
This Olay Intensive Night Cream is lovely. It has a nice thick texture and is very cold and fresh feeling. It really helps to hydrate my neck and face at the end of the day.
The Bioderma Moisturizing Concentrate really feels like instant hydration. This is a must do for me.
The Ultimate Volume Nano is great. I love the stiff brush that really helps define each lash. I still don’t love it more than the Stila Huge Mascara if you’re looking for serious lashes. This works as a nice mascara though, just not a serious lash enhancer.
The CC Cream Supergoop is nice. It’s more like a concealer with SPF. I do like this. Probably not everyday for me but definitely if I was dolling up a bit. I typically don’t put concealer on my face, just under the eyes. But I like the polished look of this on occasion. Also, note use a very small amount and rub it all in.
This Daily Concepts Facial Scrub is a tough texture but I like the way it feels. It gets dirt off and cleans my pores. I use it with my make-up remover favorite that I have used my whole adult life. Ponds Cold Cream Cleanser. Ponds always leaves my face feeling baby soft. I would recommend also having a warm washcloth to do a final wipe with. I like the mini scrubber to get everything off and to apply the Ponds to and then a smooth warm washcloth to finish.
The Davines OI All in One Milk is a nourishing leave-in treatment for hair. Adds shine, volume and heat protection. I like that it smells like a salon. It is musky not floral or citrus smelling. It smells strong and bold.
The Beauty Crop Espresso Yourself Eyeshadow Trio is fabulous. It goes on very light. I didn’t feel like it was this caked on eyeshadow look. It was more subtle in application and added a lovely sparkle.
So, that’s the list thus far. Things I will use everyday are for sure the Coola, Stila Huge Mascara, Bioderma Hydrabio Serum, The Beauty Crop Eyeshadow – especially the golden sparkle, MAC Strobe Cream – pinklite, and the Olay night cream. These are a must do for me!
My favorite mascara is still by far the Stila Huge and my favorite lipstick is the MAC, as I mentioned in a previous beauty post. Follow the highlighted link here to read that post as well.
And finally one more beauty product that I have not tried myself but am very interested in POWER LIPS by NU SKIN this lipstick stays on for 8 hours. Yup, amazing for a working woman and women in general. It would be fabulous to not have to reapply all day long. You just have to stay away from oily foods during the day and don’t dab too much with a napkin. Simple rules, really. It is really good for your lips too, making them healthy with avocado oil and rejuvenating ingredients. I personally want to try ROAR and PROMOTION, um yeah, power words equals power lips! Let’s play, try and see. Let me know in the comments how they are and I will be getting mine soon!!!
It is paired with a whitening toothpaste that shows up down below when you click on the link or follow this one above for a direct link. I highly recommend trying it. It is dentist recommended and I know and trust people using these products and they rave about them and the whitening capability.
Here is a link to what appears to be a great travel companion. I am always on the look out for good make-up carriers. I either like a Trina Turk style geometric and colorful one or a classic black with great compartments, like this Habe make-up travel bag
Enjoy researching these products and let me know where you end up with them. Do they inspire you? Are they rockin’ your world like they did mine? Making you glow? I hope so. Let me know in the comments how you do. Remember to nurture yourself while indulging in fun beauty masks and products. Take the time to make a ritual that makes you feel good, and helps your skin.
This is how polished I felt after applying many of these products. It feels good to try them out and get dolled-up once in awhile. Have fun with it!
